How Gwyneth Paltrow Saved A Life On 9/11

You might call it fate or destiny or just sheer coincidence, but the choices Gwyneth Paltrow made on September 11, 2001 ended up saving the life of a woman she never knew.

Lara Lundstrom Clarke was on her way to work that morning at the Twin Towers as many New Yorkers were. She was rushing to catch her train into Midtown and in her haste, she jaywalked to the subway station. As she crossed 7th Avenue, a Mercedes SUV came barreling toward her and stopped only inches away from her. Startled, Lara stopped in her tracks and watched as the driver composed herself. Sure enough, it was Gwyn and after a moment, she waved Lara on to finishing crossing the street. But Lara had already missed her train. She never made it to the World Trade Center that morning and now she’s alive to talk about it.

Gosh. How many stories have we all heard just like that in the last ten years? Sounds like Gwyn has a fan for life with Lara!
