Gold medal winner Nastia Liukin is now a designer.
The 20 year old gymnast has launched a budget friendly girls line called Supergirl by Nastia at JCPenney.
Nastia said designing isn’t anything new for her since she “designed all of my leotards I competed in, so I├óΓé¼Γäóve always had kind of like this passion for fashion growing up”.
The medalist turned designer added:
“I wanted to kind of have like a message behind it and that message is├óΓé¼┬ªwhen you wear it to feel empowered and to be able to go after your dreams and believe in yourself and to never give up.”
Kind of refreshing to hear someone that wants to empower young girls with what they wear, rather than making them look like mini-hookers.
