Halsey isn’t here to be your sweet dream… she’s much more interested in being your worst nightmare!
The pop star dropped the music video for her new single Nightmare on Friday, and it contains no shortage of appropriately unsettling imagery.
Some of these highlights include multiple shots of Halsey’s blood-soaked lips as she discusses the “sweet” taste of blood and, of course, the 24-year-old decked out in a leathery, BDSM friendly ensemble.

But the video offers more than just devilish delights. The New York native also managed to sprinkle in a few socially charged visuals, too: an all female Fight Club-style riot in the streets, a woman whose body has been marked for plastic surgery, and a newspaper with the evocative headline, “It’s Our Turn!”
Basically, Halsey wants y’all to be just as pissed off as she is — and how can you not be with all the nonsense that’s been going on around the world recently?
