No longer will Americans be the only population in the world that is lucky enough to have The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at their doorstep.
On top of moving to El Lay, the popular theme park attraction at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is opening a third location in Japan!
Why Japan? Because that country loves Harry Potter more than the United Kingdom does! The eight movies made more there than they did in the actual country in which the story is set. The brand has become the Asian country’s most successful movie-based line of products in the last decade.
The $500 million construction project is expected to begin in a few weeks so the park can open by the end of 2014. Even though Universal made a deal with Warner Bros. to open
up an El Lay location sooner, the Japan park will actually open FIRST!
Ugh! So jealous! Apparently they have to blow some more shiz up at the Universal Studios in Hollywood to make room for a giant replica of Hogwarts.
