Looks like Hasan Minhaj will be the next target of Donald Trump‘s Twitter tirades!
That’s because The Daily Show senior correspondent has just been announced as the entertainer of The White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 29!
This is particularly newsworthy because we weren’t even sure “nerd prom” was going to happen due to Drumpf’s war against the media!
And since POTUS won’t be in attendance, we’re sure Minhaj won’t hold ANYTHING back during his roast!

Jeff Mason, WHCA president and White House Correspondent for Reuters, said in a statement:
“I am thrilled that Hasan will serve as our featured entertainer. Hasan’s smarts, big heart and passion for press freedom make him the perfect fit for our event, which will be focused on the First Amendment and the importance of a robust and independent media.”

The 31-year-old went on to confirm the news by saying:
“It is a tremendous honor to be a part of such a historic event even though the president has chosen not to attend this year. SAD! Now more than ever, it is vital that we honor the First Amendment and the freedom of the press.”
