She claims there’s a BIG misunderstanding, and that people shouldn’t believe everything they hear!
Mama June is reportedly dating a child sex offender named Mark McDaniel who was arrested and convicted for assault on apparently one of Mama June’s relatives.
Which has caused quite a bit of a firestorm for the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star.
But Mama June is defending her name, and has taken to Facebook to claim she is in fact NOT dating this guy and even her daughter Pumpkin is defending her mom to say she stopped dating this guy ten years ago!
Here’s what Mama June wrote:
“I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can’t believe everything you read! Ppl sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isnt true i promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn’t go back.”
And Pumpkin later said in an interview:
“The story is not true. My mom left Mark 10 years ago. They haven’t seen nor talked [to each other] in 10 years.”
And although there is a photo of Mama June and this guy Mark circulating the internet – Mama June says that photo is “photoshopped” although we have no idea if those claims are true or not.

What we DO know is this is turning into one messy situation, and could potentially end this popular reality show for good!
