Talk about really wanting to get home for the holidays.
Police in South Salt Lake, Utah have arrested a man who reportedly stole a fire truck.
The reason?
He wanted to drive home for Christmas in Washington!
According to detective Gary Keller, firefighters were on a medical call when they heard the truck’s airhorn blasting on Monday.
That’s when they ran outside to see the 25 year-old in the driver’s seat trying to get away.
And after what was described as a lengthy struggle, the firefighters were finally able to subdue the man until police finally arrived.
Police said the attempted firetruck burglar said he wanted to go home to Washington to see his mom for Christmas.
Yea, that’s the way to do it, right? Cause no one is gonna notice a stolen firetruck.
