This is not so cool, Hilary Duff…
Spending time Friday night at the Casamigos Tequila Halloween Party in Beverly Hills, the 29-year-old former Disney star and her new boyfriend, trainer Jason Walsh, got into a bit of hot water with a very questionable choice for costume!

As you can see (above), Duff chose to go as a sexy pilgrim while her boyfriend Walsh dressed — ugh — as a Native American “chief,” complete with red paint on his face and a headdress to boot.
Astonishing — and now, Hilary is taking a LOT of heat on social media because of the decision to go in those offensive costumes!!
Fans and followers all across the spectrum are calling out Duff for Walsh’s highly offensive choice in costumes, writing (below):

On an unrelated note, how long do we think until Hilary Duff apologizes for those costumes?

@HilaryDuff Apologize for your disgusting costume & to Native people of this land who continue their struggle to be seen, heard & respected

@HilaryDuff your halloween costume is ignorant and incredibly disappointing. Come on lizzy mcguire… Feel like Gordo would’ve stopped this

Yikes!!!
Twitter followers are doubly offended if only because of the ongoing struggle and protests over the Dakota Access Pipeline, an oil pipeline that is highly controversial and being built — against popular demand — across sacred Native American sites of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Obviously even beyond those protests, though, Native American costumes — especially painted in red face — are considered risky at best, and highly, highly offensive at worst. Not such a good idea for them to rock at the Casamigos party.
On the other end of the spectrum, though, you can see all the other celebs rockin’ out at the party in (thankfully) less offensive costumes at the Casamigos party, too!
Attendees at the bash included Gerard Butler, Ali Larter, Lauren Conrad, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Ryan Lochte, Zach Braff, Seth MacFarlane, Mario Lopez, and James Corden!
Ch-ch-check it all out (above)!!!
And what do U think, Perezcious readers — did Duff and her boyfriend go too far??
