Hollywood Mega-Producer Tabrez Noorani Considers Model Alejandra Rodriguez For Lead Of Upcoming Blockbuster

Tabrez Noorani, producer of Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, hit TV series Sense 8, and most recently Love Sonia that had a star-studded cast including Riya Sisodiya, Freida Pinto and Demi Moore. Love Sonia takes us into the dark world of sex-trafficking in India.

It seems as if Noorani is just getting started shining the light on women’s rights as his upcoming project is rumored to be about the femicide that took place in Juarez, Mexico in the 1990’s. Femicides, or the intentional killing of women, have garnered international attention after thousands of women protested in Mexico City and then enacted a “day without women” where they reminded the country where they are headed if they don’t stop this horrible crime.

Stars like Diego Luna have used their platform and fame to bring attention to this matter, and it appears Noorani is lending his craft to this cause as well. According to our inside sources, Tabrez is considering Mexican model Alejandra Rodriguez for the lead. Repped by one of the top agencies in Mexico, Marka, Alejandra’s international campaigns for companies like Nike, skin care products, several high-end fashion lines, and even her voiceover work have caught the attention of some of the biggest players in Hollywood.

Even though in the past Tabrez has typically worked with A list stars, this casting isn’t a reach as a model of Alejandra’s caliber could easily cross-over into other areas of entertainment. The fact that mega-producers like Tabrez are interested in her is a testament to her modeling success. Alejandra clearly has a passion for this cause and has been outspoken about it before. During the protests in Mexico City, Alejandra posted on all of her social media platforms “I’m calling upon all of my celebrity friends in Hollywood and beyond to use their voice and platform to shine a light on this terror. Those in power have to do better. We’ve had enough.”

If this upcoming project is anything like Tabrez’s previous ones, it’s bound to take us on a wild eye opening ride. If cast, Alejandra has lofty expectations to meet considering the pedigree of A-list talent that Tabrez’s past films have featured, but she seems like an awesome choice! We can’t wait to find out who finally gets cast in this exciting upcoming film.
