We had a feeling the situation between Sugar Bear and Mama June would escalate.
According to sources, Sugar Bear, the father of nine-year-old Honey Boo Boo, was VERY upset when he saw unsettling and compromising photos of his daughter and Mama June’s questionable boyfriend.

If you’ve managed to somehow stay out of the loop, Mama June’s alleged boyfriend, Mark McDaniel, was convicted of molesting June’s oldest daughter, Chickadee, when the girl was eight. Mark’s awful and disturbing past is why Sugar Bear is furious that Mark was spotted hanging out with Honey Boo Boo.
The source revealed:
“Mike (Sugar Bear) is all over the place and is distraught that his daughter has had contact with a sex offender. He wants her out of that environment and knows the only way to do that is to get custody.”
We don’t blame Sugar Bear — a father has the right to protect his child!
The source added:
“June has all the money, and he has not seen any of it. He will have to sue for custody and June will not give her up. I genuinely worry for the future of that family. Before the show they had nothing, and they are going to end up with nothing.”
Ugh, we worry too! Especially if the reports are true that Mama June DOESN’T believe Mark really molested Chikadee! Denial in a dangerous situation like this is NOT good!!
We hope things work out for the kids first and foremost! Poor things!!
