We have great news for everyone who was severely disappointed by How I Met Your Mother‘s twist-filled finale – show creators edited together a different one! An alternate ending!
Woo hoo!
Series co-creator Carter Bays said the production team edited together two different versions of the ending. The one you saw on TV earlier this week that sparked so much outrage and, well, another one.
Hmmm, we wonder if ending #2 is similar to the fan-created one (above)?
Well, according to Carter, you’ll have to purchase the entire series on DVD to find out!

We only shot one script, but through edit room magic we had two possible outcomes for the series.
