Jordyn asks:

“Hi Amy! My family is getting ready to take our one year old son to Disneyland for the first time. What advice do you have for when he gets tired in the park? Any tips would be great.”

Amy’s Answer:

Hi Jordyn!
Congrats on the amazing milestone of your lil cutie being a mobile guy. Disney is a great family trip and I’m sure your son will love it. Walking around the park all day can be tiresome for Mommies and Dadddies and kids can get hit really hard with a tidal wave of being tired.
Having a safe and comfy stroller is a necessity for a long and exhausting family trip. My son loves his Bumbleride Indie Stroller because it reclines all the way back like a bed and so he can nap inside and be safe and cozy. We just enjoyed our first Disney adventure with him and he did great because we have such a good stroller for him to chill out in. This is especially important if your child is already able to walk so you have a place for them to rest when they are tired and you can stroll them around the park.
Also, to avoid a “meltdown” and having them get cranky, make sure to pack some healthy snacks so they are eating every 2-3 hours which will keep their energy level up and their mood happy. You can pack juice boxes, mini bottles of water, pre-cut apple slices, baby carrots, or those cute pouches of squeezable apple sauce, just make sure your child is getting enough nutrition and steer clear of the junk food as that will have them crash and burn from the sugar spike. Have a great trip!

Keep your baybay-well fed and well-rested and your trip will be magical!!!
