Deborra-Lee Furness was suspicious of her now ex-husband Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster?!
For those who don’t know, romance rumors have been circulating for months about the Deadpool & Wolverine actor and the Younger actress. Back in December, InTouch reported that Hugh was “romancing” Sutton after they grew close while working on the Broadway revival of The Music Man between December 2021 and January 2023. Insiders also told Page Six the pair fell “in love” and “want to spend the rest of their lives together.” A source even confirmed on Wednesday that they’re still going strong.

Wow! So, they are very serious! The problem with that is, though? Sutton did not file for divorce from her husband of ten years, Ted Griffin, until this week! As for Hugh? He and Deborra announced their divorce in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. The former couple reportedly started to experience troubles in paradise during the coronavirus pandemic and SAG strike, eventually leading them to break up. But it sounds like there potentially was more to the story behind it — a more scandalous one!
While none of the parties involved have commented on the situation yet, new details have dropped. A source claimed to Dailymail.com on Saturday that Deborra had a lot of concerns about Hugh and Sutton working together on the Broadway musical in 2022:
“Deborra-Lee had her suspicions when Hugh started working with Sutton. Their relationship is not a secret to her.”
She low-key had a feeling something possibly was going on?! Whoa…
But you won’t see Deborra airing out his dirty laundry! She’s not going to address all the rumors as she refuses to talk ill about her ex-husband! The insider explained:
“Deborra-Lee wants to be left out of this narrative. She is not going to address this or speak against Hugh. When they divorced, they agreed to keep everything that happened during their marriage private.”
Good for her. Will Hugh do the same? It seems so. A second source did notably insists he and Sutton just ‘became close friends” during The Music Man, and things are heating up between them now:
“Time has passed for Hugh to mourn his divorce and now Sutton is over her relationship, they are getting closer to making it official. They aren’t going to shove it down everyone’s throat. They became close friends while working together and got to confide in each other over their individual troubles.”
The insider continued:
“Hugh still has tremendous respect for Deborra-Lee. They have kids and that is what is important to them both. They are repairing what they can, and will never talk ill about each other.”
