Investigators just found human remains near Taylor Swift‘s house… and some believe it could be the work of an undiscovered serial killer!
In recent days there have been what seems like a lot of bodies found throughout the area — creating panic for some local residents. It all started back in March in Connecticut, when the dismembered body of Suzanne Wormser was found stuffed in a suitcase in a cemetery. Police found a suspect pretty quickly, who allegedly admitted to the crime per legal docs. But that was only the first of many bodies found…
In just the past couple months, there have been at least ELEVEN bodies or sets of partial human remains discovered in the New England area. Other confirmed dead include Paige Fannon, Denise Leary, and Mary Colasanto of Connecticut, Meggan Meredith and Samuel Stovall of Massachusetts, and Michele Romano of Rhode Island. Notice it’s mostly women. But skeletal remains of a male between the ages of 25 and 45 were found in Connecticut, as well as a separate unidentified skull. And two more unidentified bodies in Rhode Island AND Massachusetts.
As you can imagine, the shocking amount of deaths have some residents — as well as true crime junkies all over the country — speculating about the possibility of a serial killer. We imagine it’s on the minds of those in the area — in the wake of news of the Gilgo Beach Killer in nearby Long Island. Facebook groups have formed around the theory there’s a “New England serial killer” on the hunt.
And now, another piece of potential evidence has shown up… one close to home for maybe the most famous woman in the world.

Just 0.3 miles away from Taylor Swift’s Holiday House in Westerly, Rhode Island, a human leg bone washed up on the beach, per NBC 10. The Westerly Police Department Detective Division sent the remains off to be tested at the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office after the discovery.
Naturally those worried about a “New England serial killer” are freaking out. Local Taylor Day spoke to the news outlet about the “alarming” scene she stumbled upon:
“It’s just something very out of the ordinary for Westerly. I would never expect anything like that — especially not in Watch Hill.”
Surprisingly, police say they don’t suspect foul play at the moment. Day isn’t convinced! The less famous Taylor says she “would definitely disagree with that” because just “finding a leg is very suspicious”:
“My mind immediately went to all the theories that are being thrown around. I’m more aware of my surroundings. I don’t go places that are kind of dim or where I could be alone. Just trying to stay out in public and be vigilant.”
We mean, staying safe is always good advice, serial killers or no. So… not going to dissuade that instinct!
But police really don’t think this was a serial killer. The Connecticut State Police insisted to Fox News Digital “there is no information at this time suggesting any connection to similar remains discoveries, and there is also no known threat to the public at this time.” Noted serial killer expert Dr. Katherine Ramsland, professor of forensic psychology at DeSales University, called the speculation “silly” when speaking to DailyMail.com recently about the rash of body discoveries:
“You can’t just assume all of them were murdered, and they’re all murdered by one person. That’s just silly.”
It’s important to get more information from these deaths before jumping to any conclusions, say law officials. With serial killers, there’s always certain things to look out for, and right now detectives haven’t found any concrete evidence.
And as far as Mz. Swift, she or her team have not yet responded to the news of the leg bone discovered just five football fields from her front door. Hopefully it doesn’t scare her too much. Then again, she has more security than the average single white female, so we’re not too worried.
Thoughts, Perezcious readers?
