Huncoat United, widely known as the worst football team in Britain, has finally won their first game in five years… after 94 soul-ripping defeats! We couldn’t be happier for them — can you imagine what that would feel like??
Also, can you imagine what it would feel like to be Brierfield Celtic — who lost 2-0??
Here’s what the manager said:

“We might be the worst team in Britain, but we’re also the happiest. All the boys were jumping up and down at the final whistle. I joined in and so did the parents. I don’t think they’re world beaters just yet.”

Awwww! How wonderful!
What’s even crazier is that they had lost their first 70 games before recording their first point with a 3-3 draw against Rossendale Lads last October. THEIR FIRST POINT!
That’s all in the past now!
