Hurricane Sandy DESTROYS New Jersey Liquor Supplies

Grey Goose Liquor Hit Hard By Hurricane Sandy
Homes are devastated, streets are flooded.
And now the liquor is running out???
New Jersey’s sole distributor of Grey Goose vodka and Cristal champagne suffered a massive loss in Hurricane Sandy.
Fedway Associates President Neil Barnett posted on Facebook:

“Hurricane Sandy dealt a ‘near’ knockout blow to our south Kearny facility last week. Our office building and warehouse buildings were hit with 10 foot tidal surges and as a result our infrastructure and inventories were severely compromised.”

ALL the inventories??
Afraid so. They are working to get back up and running, but they say the losses are in the tens of millions. And since they’re the only game in town, New Jersey is rapidly running out of the high quality spirits.
Even NJ Governor Chris Christie understands; he said he would think about lifting the state law prohibiting alcohol retailers from buying supplies from out-of-state. He said:

“If in fact that company came and asked me to consider that, I would consider it. But to the best of my knowledge they have not come and asked for any waiver or relaxation of that regulation.”

The Jersey Shore cast could not be reached for comment as they were confused by the unexpected onset of soberness.
