NBC is looking to bring a U.S. adaptation of But I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! to our shores.
Previously, ABC attempted a U.S. version of the program, which is a hit across the pond. The show, however, was plagued with lawsuits filed on behalf of CBS, which accused ABC of copyright infringement upon its own Survivor.
NBC is hoping for a summer launch with an unconventional weekday schedule.
President of NBC alternative, British Paul Telegdy, will be overseeing the adaptation, which is good news since he was behind Dancing with the Stars, which also borrowed from an established British program.
Although, as with DWTS, I’m Actually a Z-List! seems like a more appropriate titled.
