This is so tragic…
Yulia Burtseva, a lifestyle influencer based in Naples, Italy, has tragically passed away after undergoing cosmetic surgery. Per Russian news outlet MSK1, the Instagram star was in Moscow when she went to a private clinic to undergo the cosmetic procedure. It’s unclear what kind of surgery she was having, but what we do know is at some point during the operation her condition took a turn for the worse…
As she deteriorated quickly, she was rushed to a hospital nearby, but there was nothing they could do. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. She was only 38 years old, and leaves behind a daughter, and her husband Giuseppe Burtseva. So, so heartbreaking.

Law enforcement seem to think this was something more sinister than just a routine mishap, though. The outlet reported that the Moscow Investigative Committee says the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Moscow is opening a criminal case. They’re looking at potential negligence charges:
“Investigators from the Moscow Investigative Committee are working at the scene. Necessary official and medical records will be seized shortly. A number of forensic examinations, including a medical one, are being ordered.”
The news outlet reports that Yulia’s final social media update was on the Russian app VK, where she posted a video of herself at Cafe Pushkin in Russia. The caption read:
