Summer Wheaton has been arrested.
Last summer, the wellness influencer was leaving a 4th of July party at Nobu Malibu when she became involved in a collision on the Pacific Coast Highway. Tragically, the crash claimed the life of a 44-year-old Martin Okeke, who was traveling the opposite direction. Summer was transported to a hospital to be treated for injuries.
Things got worse for Summer. It was later revealed the influencer may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash! She wasn’t placed under arrest, however, and has remained active on Instagram… Until now.
This week, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Summer was arrested on multiple charges, including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, according to multiple outlets. She was booked into the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station on Monday.
Oof…
Months after Okeke’s death, the family sued Summer for his wrongful death, claiming she was “severely intoxicated and impaired.”
