At least that is how he acted towards Steve-O At the MTV VMAs!
The Jackass confessed to sources that he’s a huge Jersey Shore fan and was excited when he thought he’d get the chance to chat with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino at the VMAs this year. To his dismay, The Situation totally gave him the brush-off on the red carpet! He explained:
“I go up to him, and I’m like, ├óΓé¼╦£Yeah dude, I├óΓé¼Γäóm so psyched to meet you man … you are who I came here to see,’ He’s like, yeah, whatever … He totally ‘cool-guyed’ me. I got big-timed by ‘The Situation.'”
Whoa! Diva! We knew he always had a bit of a ‘tude, but you should always be gracious to true fans! Not cool, Sitch!
But it seems Mike already knows that, as on Monday morning, during a radio interview, he explained himself and apologized for the whole thing. He said:
“You know, I did meet Steve-O and I did hear he wanted to meet me and I also was excited, but he met me on the red carpet when there’s interviews going on; there are hundreds of people screaming. I mean, I didn’t ‘cool guy’ him, so to speak, but I politely said hello. Pretty much what happened was, I was in the middle of doing an Extra interview, or whatever, and Steve-O comes right into the interview and was like ‘Yo, what up, Situation?’ I’m a fan of his too, but I was in the middle of an interview, but, at the same time, I politely said to him: ‘What up, Steve-O? What up, dog? I├óΓé¼Γäóm a big fan of yours too.’ Simple, plain and that was it. I moved on, on the red carpet. I wasn’t trying to disrespect anybody.”
That seems plausible. Lord knows red carpets can be hectic.
This just sounds like a misunderstanding! Kiss and make up, boys!
