Jackie Warner's Fitness Tips!

Ever wonder what fitness guru Jackie Warner├óΓé¼Γäós favorite healthy recipe is? Workout playlist is? What about her favorite workout? New Year’s Resolution? Read below to find out!!!

Fit Tip
When I dine out, I eat “the good, the bad, and the ugly” in that order. The good are lean meats, veggies, and fruits. The bad are breads and starches. And, the ugly is of course dessert and alcohol. I drink a full glass a water after the good and allow my body to release leptin, the chemical that indicates that the body is full. Filling up on what’s good for you will help curb the cravings for high calorie foods.

Favorite Work Out
I love doing chest exercises. I will overwork my chest because I’ll do anything to avoid doing lunges, squats and crunches. In fact, the title of my newest DVD Personal Training with Jackie: Xtreme Crunch Free Abs says it all.

New Years Resolution:
Here are some no fail tips for sticking to your New Year’s weight loss resolutions.
1. Create a training log. Write down your workout before you go to the gym. It will keep you accountable. It’s absolutely necessary to track your reps, sets, and increase your resistance training. Over time, you’ll be able to evaluate your strengths, weaknesses, and improvements. On days you feel sore, write a smiley face next to that workout so you know what you should be doing again.
2. Go to classes with people that are like-minded.
3. Change your workout playlist weekly. Having new music will get you excited about exercising.
4. Set an athletic, as well as, a weight loss goal like running a 5k. Partake in a charity wallk/ride or simply run up a mountain or trail and aim to beat your time every week. Self-esteem comes from setting goals and achieving them.
