Jada Pinkett Smith & Snoop Dogg Share Emotional Conversation About His Comments Towards Gayle King

Jada PInkett Smith Red Table Talk Snoop Dogg interview about Gayle King and Kobe Bryant

This is going to be a very interesting full interview to watch when it comes out next week…

Jada Pinkett Smith is having Snoop Dogg as a guest on her popular Red Table Talk show on Facebook Watch this next Wednesday, and it should make for must-see viewing. The whole interview appears primarily centered around Snoop’s recent comments criticizing Gayle King in response to Kobe Bryant‘s past sexual assault case being brought up immediately after his untimely passing in that tragic helicopter crash late last month.

The 48-year-old head of the impactful and influential Facebook show shared a sneak peek at the full interview just a few hours ago on the social network this morning, too, and things look very interesting. In the short clip, which doesn’t even last a full minute, you can see Snoop visibly upset and emotional while Jada talks about the impact of his behavior and words towards King, the journalist at the heart of the controversy.

At one point in the clip, we see Jada speaking to Snoop — as her daughter Willow and mom Adrienne look on, too — about the power his words have, and the effect it had when calling out King. Jada said (below):

“When you first came out and you said what you said in regards to Gayle, my heart dropped. I felt like not only were you talking to Gayle, but you were talking to me. I was like, ‘Not Snoop.’ And so that’s one of the reasons why I felt like I really wanted to have this conversation with you in the spirit of healing.”

Wow! Sounds like a very powerful conversation, even just from that little bit of a teaser.

This is going to be something, for sure. Rarely can we remember seeing Snoop Dogg that clearly and obviously emotional over something like this. Lots of emotions are coming out at that table, for sure.

FYI, the official title of the chat is The Culture of Disrespect Between Black Men and Black Women — and knowing how thorough and impactful Jada gets with these conversations, we can be sure this is going to be very deep and insightful.
