Jada Pinkett Smith will tango with the topic of polyamory in an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk — and we have her daughter’s curiosity to thank!
During her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actress explained that she’ll be exploring the relationship of a man and two women in an upcoming episode of her always-spicy Facebook Watch show.
But it’s not because Jada has a particular interest in the subject — it was apparently all Willow Smith’s idea!
The Girls Trip star explained that her 18-year-old daughter and co-host was actually the one who found the guests for the episode, as the famous teen has become “very curious” about poly life as of late.

Smith explained to Jimmy Kimmel:
“It’s a throuple that Willow was actually following on Instagram. That’s how it all came to be. She became very curious about this whole polyamory thing.”
Hey, love is love is love, right?
But will the Whip My Hair songstress’ curiosity lead her to have a poly relationship herself one day?
Momma Jada didn’t know. But, like all things with her family, she’s expecting the unexpected. When Kimmel asked if Willow could one day be part of a throuple, the 47-year-old replied:
“Possibly. I don’t know. Listen, she’s 18 who the heck knows what’s going to go down.”
Willow’s budding fascination with polyamory does make sense, as the starlet admitted in an earlier Red Table Talk episode that the idea of monogamy just didn’t sit well with her. She said at the time:
“That feeling of ‘You’re my one and my only, there’s no else,’ for me, that would not work.”
You gotta find what works for you, girl! Whether that means forever-love with one person, a string of casual romances, or whatever the heck Ezra Miller’s “polycule” is.
There are options for everyone!
Later in the interview, Jada admitted that she regrets discussing pornography with Willow in that recent “TMI” Red Table Talk episode, joking:
“I must say, I learned a little bit too much about my mother and surely about my daughter.”
Ha!
To be fair, though, Willow also learned a bit too much about her momma during the chat. As we reported, Will Smith‘s wife revealed that she had an “unhealthy relationship” with porn in her younger years, telling her daughter and mom Adrienne Banfield-Jones:
“If I was still on my porn game, I’d be able to show you some good porn… Back in the day I had a little porn addiction, but I wasn’t in a relationship when I had a porn addiction, believe it or not, thank goodness.”
