Female Twitter isn’t here for James Franco‘s Golden Globes win.
Like many of his A-list peers, The Disaster Artist attended the Hollywood award show donning a Time’s Up pin in order vocalize his support for the revolutionary movement. However, several people online have since called out Franco for being a hypocrite as his predatory past has been, once again, scrutinized.

Industry vet Ally Sheedy led the charge on Twitter as she pondered why James was even “allowed in.” In since deleted posts, The Breakfast Club actress wrote:

“Why is a man hosting? Why is James Franco allowed in? Said too much. Nite love ya #goldenglobes”
“Ok wait. Bye. Christian Slater and James Franco at a table on @goldenglobes #MeToo”
“James Franco just won. Please never ever ask me why I left the film/tv business.”
The 39-year-old previously directed Ally in an Off-Broadway production of The Long Shrift. Although, the 55-year-old did NOT indicate that her statement was based of her experience during that particular project.
We have a feeling the seasoned actress was talking about James’ 2014 attempt to pickup a 17-year-old via social media.
In case you forgot, while starring in Of Mice and Men, Franco allegedly offered to rent a room so that he could spend quality time with the “almost” 18-year-old. The youth later published their online interaction. During an interview with Kelly Ripa, James acknowledged that he messaged the teen and admitted to using “bad judgement.”
Like Sheedy, fans added:
It├óΓé¼Γäós … rich of James Franco to be wearing a Time├óΓé¼Γäós Up pin ├░┼╕╦£┬É

– no abusers called out.
– none of the “woke dates” got publicity or a chance to speak.
– the most hollow movie about racism and sexual assault winning all the awards.
– kirk douglas + gary oldman + james franco onstage.
so, i told y’all this “time’s up” shit is performative.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s weird that a room full of black-outfitted, Time’s Up button-wearing folks are celebrating James Franco, who thought it was fine to try for a booty call by sliding into the DMs of underage girl

It makes me sick that there are men like James Franco hiding behind Time’s Up pins and black suits, claiming to support survivors while they participate in and benefit from misogynist, abusive behaviour. That’s not an ally. That’s a predator.

Frustrated by Franco’s hypocritical appearance at the Globes, actresses Violet Paley and Sarah Tither-Kaplan took to Twitter to expose James for the alleged sexual misconduct he inflicted on them. They shared:
Cute #TIMESUP pin James Franco. Remember the time you pushed my head down in a car towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17? After you had already been caught doing that to a different 17 year old?
— Violet Paley (@VioletPaley) January 8, 2018
Hey James Franco, nice #timesup pin at the #GoldenGlobes , remember a few weeks ago when you told me the full nudity you had me do in two of your movies for $100/day wasn’t exploitative because I signed a contract to do it? Times up on that!
— Sarah Tither-Kaplan🌈 (@sarahtk) January 8, 2018
Hey James Franco, now that you have a Golden Globe why don’t you give speaking roles that don’t require nudity in your upcoming films to the dozens of women who have done full nudity + sex scenes in your indie films and art projects?

I have time for this today I guess. Tbt to me speaking up for myself and other women on a franco set and immediately getting called a diva, told I was “out of line”, and publicly humiliated by the producer. ├░┼╕┬ñ┬╖├óΓé¼┬ì├óΓäóΓé¼├»┬╕┬Å https://t.co/CEJ17SNUNX
