Prepare yourselves because that’s a sentence we could all be hearing in the not so distant future!
The distributors for the film Spring Breakers are launching an Academy Award campaign to try and win James Franco and his corn-rowed criminal character Alien a long-shot Oscar nod!
Because really, when you give a beej to a loaded gun on camera, you deserve some recognition for your work!

A24 Films is hoping to convince Academy voters to name James as a nominee for Best Supporting Actor with their upcoming campaign, and they’re keeping their marketing materials just as R-rated as their flick!
Their slogan:
“Consider this sh*t!”
HA! We’ve seen a lot of “for your consideration” campaigns before but NOTHING like this!
A spokesperson for A24 insists that this is NOT a joke though! They are confident that Franco has earned his right to hear his name called on Oscar night! A rep for the company said:
“James Franco has created a character so indelible it deserves recognition. We are excited to be able to support it with a campaign and know the impact of Alien will last far past this awards season.”
And if James DOES indeed win his first Oscar, the person presenting his trophy to him will be none other than his Academy Awards co-host, Anne Hathaway!
Oh noes. Isn’t it a law now that these two are never allowed on stage together at the Oscars ever again?

Good luck, James! If you do get nominated, we expect to see a grill in your mouth out on the red carpet! And maybe Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine can be your dates!
