Tischies, rejoice!
James Franco has announced that he’ll be teaching a third-year grad class on “adapting poetry into short films” at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Given his background and role as poet Allen Ginsberg in 2010’s Howl, this class def sounds like it’s right up his alley.
Here’s what chair of Tisch’s grad film program John Tintori had to say about Franco’s class:
├óΓé¼┼ôHe├óΓé¼Γäós here to teach because he really knows something about directing that he can share with our students. He├óΓé¼Γäós incredibly prolific, and that comes from a real work ethic – and that├óΓé¼Γäós another thing to impart to our students.├óΓé¼┬¥
Sounds like a wonderful class! We’re sure it will be a great experience for the lucky students who get to take it!
Tisch peeps – sign up fast! He’s only taking 12 students!
Would U like to take a class with James Franco?
