Jamie Foxx Steps Into The Ring To Play Mike Tyson! And This Oscar Winner Is Set To Direct The Boxing Biopic!

Looks like Jamie Foxx is stepping in the ring!
Last week, the 47-year-old star went on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to promote his new single, You Changed Me, featuring Chris Brown.
During the interview, the actor dished on his newest movie role — playing boxing legend Mike Tyson! The actor said on the popular radio show:

“I just went in with Paramount with Mike Tyson. So, I’m going to do the Mike Tyson story. Listen, to be in the same room pitching Mike Tyson to Paramount, Mike Tyson is on one side, I’m on the other side and doing the Mike Tyson at the same time.”

Foxx has been anything but silent on his desire to play the iconic boxer, and while Paramount has not yet confirmed the news, the actor’s excitement on taking on the role was a pretty good sign!

The actor then revealed that Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese will be taking on the highly anticipated biopic. Foxx had this to say about the director joining the project:

“This will be the first boxing movie that Martin Scorsese has done since Raging Bull.”

This isn’t the first time Foxx has played an iconic role on the big screen. In 2004, the actor won an Academy Award for his portrayal of singer Ray Charles in Ray.
We’re really excited for this movie, mostly because we think Jamie will totally rock Tyson’s face ink!!
