Former Laguna Beach star Jason Wahler who made his return to reality television in the last season of VH1’s Celebrity Rehab has had his fair share of addiction troubles.
After Laguna Beach ended, he turned to the bottle and was drinking between 5 and 20 vodka drinks a night.
His addiction to alcohol landed him 7 stints in rehab and 6 alcohol-related arrests!
What was his breaking point that led him to seek serious treatment? Jason says:
“Rock bottom was when I saw what my addiction was doing to my family. I just didn’t want it anymore.”
Better late than never because it’s never too late to quit!
Since appearing on Celebrity Rehab he has been sober for 200 days and keeps in touch with his castmates, including Janice Dickinson and Jeremy London, but surprisingly he hasn’t heard a peep from Dr. Drew Pinsky!
In fact, Jason doesn’t seem to care for the addiction specialist too much at all, saying:
“To be honest, Dr. Drew didn’t give me much advice, and he doesn’t really stay in touch with anyone.”

We’re sure Dr. Drew is a busy man and can understand how it would be hard to keep in touch with every patient he comes across.
Either way, it looks like Jason is keeping steady on his road to recovery from addiction and we wish him the best in the future!
