Oh you thought the Watch the Throne tour was over?!
Think again, kids!
Kanye West and Jay Z reunited last night in what can only be called a performance that SXSW won’t soon forget!
Ye and J took the stage at Austin Music Hall (actually it was two towering mini-stages, just like on WTT) and spit songs both from their collaborative album AND off each other├óΓé¼Γäós newer releases – Kanye├óΓé¼Γäós Yeezus and Jay Z├óΓé¼Γäós Magna Carta!
Playing to a crowd of only 4,600 (that’s pretty small for these hip-hop heads of state) the show went well over two and a half hours.
But is this a preview for what’s to come?! Are the two titans of rap about to do a Watch the Throne Part II tour?!
Rumors are beginning to spread but whether they do or don’t, their mark was made in Austin last night!
We’re glad to see such a triumphant performance on a night otherwise mired in tragedy.
