Uh oh! It sounds like HOV has some SERIOUS explaining to do!!
Everyone knows Jay Z is a basketball connoisseur and is regularly seen sitting in his court-side seat at Barclays Center, cheering on the Brooklyn Nets!
Well it seems one sport Mr. Carter isn’t a fan of is lacrosse, as he recently threw some shade at the hard-hitting game in his verse in DJ Khaled‘s song They Don’t Love You No More, when he says:
“You’re as soft as a Lacrosse team!”
The folks at Major League Lacrosse heard the diss and they were NOT happy about it, and a spokesperson for the league released a statement on Jay’s verse, saying:
“Lacrosse is often called the fastest sport on two feet. Players are on the field dodging and shooting balls at over 100 miles per hour. With that said we don├óΓé¼Γäót think Jay Z knows what he├óΓé¼Γäós talking about when he calls Lacrosse ‘soft.’ I can guarantee you it is anything but a ‘soft’ sport. Mr. Carter would not last one minute on a lacrosse field during a match and he is more than welcome to come to any of our games and try.”
Something tells us that Jay will most likely be declining that invitation!
We love Hov as much as the next person, but it DOES seem a bit odd that he would pick a fight with guys who get paid to run around and hit each other with sticks for a living!
