We’re willing to bet Jay-Z will still be able to get into any Nets game for free forever, but he’ll soon no longer be able to call himself a part owner! That’s right, he’s selling his shares to both the Nets AND the Barclays Center!
Why is he doing this?
Well, we told you a few days ago: he’ll have to sell his shares and not be an owner anymore if he wants to be a sports agent!
Oh, and in case you didn’t know — Jay didn’t really own much of the Nets at all to begin with. He reportedly owns just one-fifteenth of 1% of the Nets. That didn’t stop him from becoming a marketing tool, though, and he’s also credited with designing the team├óΓé¼Γäós uniforms and choosing its colors!
Now that he’s signed Robinson Cano from the MLB as a client, he’s setting his sights on getting his National Basketball Players Association certification as an agent!
We wish him all the luck!!
