Slayer Guitarist Jeff Hanneman Passes Away At 49

This is so sad!!!
Heavy metal legend Jeff Hanneman succumbed to liver failure yesterday and died!!
A founding member of the epically awesome thrash band Slayer, the lead guitarist was in a hospital near his Southern California home when he passed.
The band broke the news on their Facebook page:

“Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11AM this morning near his Southern California home. Hanneman was in an area hospital when he suffered liver failure. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his sister Kathy and his brothers Michael and Larry, and will be sorely missed.”

Our hearts go out to his widowed wife Kathryn in this very difficult time.
Jeff was only 49-years-old.
