Rumors are running rampant right now regarding the actresses currently being considered for the role of Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Although Alice in Wonderland‘s Mia Wasikowska was recently mentioned as a potential contender for the role of tribute, her reps have unfortunately shot down the report, citing major scheduling conflicts for the actress!
But don’t worry! There’s a new name to be added to the list, and it is Jena Malone!
Now, she’s definitely more of an indie darling, but she kicked some serious ass in Sucker Punch, and we think she’s got just the right amount of spunk to give Katniss a run for her money, don’t U?
We mean, seriously! She was straight up NASTY to Julia Roberts in Stepmom!
She could TOTALLY handle this role!
