Jenna Dewan‘s daughter Everly is taking extraordinary measures to ensure her mom’s pregnancy goes smoothly!
As you know, the Step Up star is expecting her first child with boyfriend Steve Kazee and her six-year-old (who she shares with Channing Tatum) couldn’t be more excited to become a big sister. In fact, the little one is so jazzed about it, she’s gone as far as to monitor her momma’s diet!

During a sit-down with Good Morning America on Tuesday morning to promote her new book Gracefully You, the 38-year-old told host opened up about motherhood and told Michael Strahan her firstborn is “too excited” about every little detail that goes into prepping for the new baby. She admitted:
“I go to eat something, she’s like, ‘Mom, is that good for the baby?’ Like she feeds me. And I have to be honest. I had candy corn the other day and I was like, ‘No, it’s not,’ and she was like, ‘Hmm, should put that back.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God.'”
Poking fun at Everly’s unbridled enthusiasm, the professional dancer continued:
“She’s very excited She said she’s waited her whole life for this. Her whole six years.”
LOLz, omg. This is too cute!!
But, we have to point out, isn’t Halloween right around the corner?! Love it or hate it, candy corn is a staple for the festive holiday. Without harming the baby (of course), doesn’t Jenna deserve something sweet, too?
Apparently not! Ha. We guess you have to applaud her dedication here, right?
Late last month, Dewan announced her pregnancy and posted an adorable snap on Instagram cuddling the future big sister in a sweet princess fort, telling her followers:
“Becoming a mother is quite simply the absolute best most incredible thing that has ever happened to me
@stevekazee you are a gift from above and i couldn’t be more excited to be expanding our family together…! Thank you guys for all the love!!”
Not be outdone, Kazee also wrote a sweet post in honor of his baby momma, writing (below):
“Well…the news is out. I can’t even begin to describe the feelings that I have had since we first learned that Jenna was pregnant! I have waited my entire life for this moment and couldn’t have found a better person to build a family with. The past year and a half has brought so many things into my life that have filled me with the deepest of gratitude. A partner who radiates love, warmth, and kindness. A partner who has faced some of the hardest moments life can deal you with grace, humility, and a desire to learn from the ups and downs.”
Little Evie also got a shout-out, too! The Tony Award winner added:
“A partner who is continuously growing from those lessons and who supports my growth as a person with love, unwavering support, and understanding. Jenna also brought with her one of the greatest gifts one could ever imagine…her beautiful daughter. Evie burst into my life like a supernova and has continued to burn so brightly in it. I have learned so much about parenting already from watching how amazing Jenna is with her and Evie has taught me so much about what it means to love and communicate with a child and I can’t wait to give her a sibling and make our little family a little bit bigger.”
Major congrats again to Jenna, Steve, and Everly’s growing family!
