From actress to political activist!
Jennifer Garner has combined her powers with Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa and Education Secretary Arne Duncan to go to Capitol Hill to try and raise money for a totally worthwhile cause!
Jennifer Garner and Co. plan to introduce a bill called the Strong Start for Americas Children Act that they hope will expand the access that toddlers from poor families have to quality early education.
Garner has for a long time been a BIG advocate for expanding early education, and says that a lot of the problems that children from poor families go through later – may be resolved if they get a good education starting in preschool!
She said:
├óΓé¼┼ôThe playing field for kids in America is not equal.”
With this bill – she and her political friends hope to change that!!!
