She’s no fool! No one puts Baby in a corner when there might be a cameo to be had! DUH!!!
We sense there are more than a few of you out there who are outraged by the fact that Dirty Dancing, the iconic romantic film featuring Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze, will be remade for a new generation. We feel your pain, but how about we join hands and hearts and voices (voices,hearts and haaands) and follow Jennifer’s lead on this. She seems to think this is going to be a good thing.
She released a statement shortly after the news broke about the film, saying:
“I’m so excited about this news, and I think there’s nobody better to do this than my beloved Kenny Ortega who is as responsible as anyone for the success of the first one. I can’t wait to see what he’s going to do with it.”
Now, Francis makes a good point. Kenny did do wonders with the first film. Every moves she made, ever vow Johnny made – you were watching Kenny’s incredible work.
Still, its hard to believe that the chemistry and the romance of the first one could ever be recaptured again. It seems so unlikely.
