The Girl on Fire always had a sneaking suspicion that she’d be on fire!
In a recent interview, Jennifer Lawrence talked about how when she was younger she had premonitions of her future greatness. Here’s what she said:
“I always knew that I was going to be famous. I honest to God don├óΓé¼Γäót know how else to describe it. I used to lie in bed and wonder, ‘Am I going to be a local TV person? Am I going to a motivational speaker?’ It wasn├óΓé¼Γäót a vision. But as it├óΓé¼Γäós kind of happening, you have this buried understanding: Of course.├óΓé¼┬¥
Knowing how absurdly talented JLaw is, it’s our opinion too that she would “of course” be famous. But that doesn’t mean she’s totally cool with her Katniss-level celebrity, though.
Jennifer went on to say this about the downside of fame:
“If I were just your average 23-year-old girl, and I called the police to say that there were strange men sleeping on my lawn and following me to Starbucks, they would leap into action. But because I am a famous person, well, sorry, ma’am, there’s nothing we can do. It makes no sense.”
We agree! The only strange men on your grass should be those cute little lawn gnomes!
Jennifer went on to dish how her rise to stardom has affected her personal life:
“It still makes me a little emotional, just to see how quickly everything kind of changes . . . that it changes so fast. So I├óΓé¼Γäóve kind of been a big homebody lately. But I think eventually, one of these days, I guess when the next franchise starts and I├óΓé¼Γäóm not in it, and the new Jennifer Lawrence is born, then I├óΓé¼Γäóll be able to go outside.├óΓé¼┬¥
We hope JLaw doesn’t become the next Howard Hughes, but we can understand the stress of constantly being hounded by the public and paparazzi!
At least Jennifer has spoken eloquently about the invasion of her privacy by paparazzi, and is not smashing cameras left and right (cough, Kanye West, cough) like Wreck-it-Ralph!
