The cast of What to Expect When You’re Expecting put on their pretty pastel dresses and posed for the cover of Redbook‘s June issue.
The film’s five leading ladies, Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick and Brooklyn Decker, sat down with magazine and answered some very important questions about motherhood, pregnancy, and finding alone time for themselves.
Cameron spoke about whether or not she feels pressured to have children:
“I├óΓé¼Γäóm sure a lot of people would expect that I would have had a child by my age. But it├óΓé¼Γäós not what I├óΓé¼Γäóve wanted out of my life thus far. We still live in a largely chauvinistic world. There├óΓé¼Γäós a box people put themselves in, and when you [live] outside of it, that makes them uncomfortable├óΓé¼ΓÇ£they have to look at themselves and question their own choices.”
As for how busy working mom Jennifer Lopez finds time for herself, she says:
“My sanctuary is my bathtub. That├óΓé¼Γäós really the only time I get to myself. It├óΓé¼Γäós usually around 15 or 20 minutes, but for me, those minutes are like heaven on earth. Sometimes I even say a little prayer while I├óΓé¼Γäóm in there. I├óΓé¼Γäóm like, ‘Lord, help me get through this day!'”
Elizabeth on pregnancy:
“I definitely don├óΓé¼Γäót think [you have to wait for] a right time. I mean: Why wait? The Chinese believe that if you have a baby, what you want comes together even better. You just do it, and make it work.”
Such an awesome group of ladies!
