Bad news for Jeremy Scott.
Reports say a California District Court judge has given street artist Joseph Tierney, AKA Rime, the go-ahead to take his copyright lawsuit against the designer to the next level.

Tierney has accused Scott of copying his famous “Vandal Eyes” mural in Detroit and putting it on clothing from the Moschino A/W 2015 collection.
The dress accused of bearing Rime’s art was worn by Gigi Hadid on the runway and by Katy Perry at the Met Gala in May. A blazer worn by Scott at the Met Ball also appeared to have elements of Rime’s work.
In October 2015, Scott filed a declaration to strike Rime’s complaint, stating that it was a graphic artist in the company’s employ who selected that particular print for the clothing in question, and that Scott himself did not design it.
The motion to strike was denied, and the next court date is scheduled for May 23, 2016.
