The 20-year-old is beloved and well-known for giving “mat talk” AKA shouting encouraging words and phrases to his teammates during performances. So, naturally, he decided to do the same for our favorite stars on Hollywood’s biggest night of the year!

Jerry shared a moment with Best Supporting Actress winner Laura Dern, Little Women‘s Greta Gerwig, Kathy Bates, Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda, Grammy winner Billie Eilish, and Frozen 2‘s Idina Menzel, and the best part is — they ALL knew who Harris was!

Dern was overcome with excitement when she laid eyes on the athlete and showered him with praise:

“Jerry! This is what I wanna say to you. You’ve got this! You can do this, Jerry! My daughter was giving me some mat talk as I was arriving in the car, and we love you and we love your big, beautiful heart.”

Incredible!

When you’ve got some of the biggest celebrities in the world fan-girling over you, you’re doing something right! Harris also spoke with Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood star and “coolest man in the world” Brad Pitt!
