Oh no! The Jersey Shore, the landmark made famous by the hit reality show that took its name, was ravaged by fire on Thursday.

Less than a year after taking serious damage from Hurricane Sandy, the boardwalk was almost completely rebuilt when a fire started in the famous ice cream shop Kohr’s Frozen Custard.

Ch-ch-check out the pics (below) to see the horrific blaze that quickly consumed the Boardwalk In Seaside Park before winds spread it over six city blocks.

It took 400 firefighters over five hours to put out the fire, but by then quite a lot of damage had been done.

Over 20 businesses were destroyed by the inferno. Much of the iconic boardwalk, including the historic carousel and the Funtown Pier, is now gone.

Jersey Shore star Snooki took the news to heart. She tweeted:

Our hearts are in New Jersey too. So sad!
