It’s like Ronnie Ortiz-Magro used to say… never fall in love at the Jersey Shore!
Only this time, to Mike Sorrentino — AKA The Situation — it seems like Jersey Shore is the PERFECT time to fall in love, because he’s now officially engaged to longtime girlfriend Lauren Pesce!
In a story first broken by Us Weekly, The Situation revealed the couple’s newfound engagement after he popped the question on the MTV re-boot of the one-time hit reality TV show (below):
“I have always dreamed of proposing on Jersey Shore, the show that introduced me to the world. I’m currently living the dream and proposed to my college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, amongst my best friends on the biggest reality show in the country. We are so proud and excited to share this chapter of our story with the world.”

And yes, they really were college sweethearts — look at The Situation with Lauren here all the way back in 2006 (below):

Congrats to Mike & Lauren for falling in love at the Jersey Shore… we can only wonder how much GTL Mike will be doing to prepare for his big wedding day!!!
