Two years ago, when Jersey Shore was just in it infancy, star Ronnie Ortiz socked a guy in the face as the cameras were rolling. Today, he is still facing assault charges, but is finally taking steps to have the case resolved.
Today, his lawyer spoke to a judge in Toms River, NJ about Ronnie applying for a pretrial intervention program. By doing this, Ronnie isn’t necessarily admitting that he is guilty (though the episode pretty much proves that he did), the application allows him to travel to Italy next month to film the fourth season of Jersey Shore, so long as he stays out of trouble in the next year. If he can manage that, he’ll sidestep having a criminal record.
Maybe they could throw some anger management classes in there for good measure too. After watching this past season of the show, we think he could really use them.
