Jessica Chastain didn’t have a good trip with JetBlue this week, and she wanted everybody to know about it.
There’s just one problem, though: the world didn’t have much sympathy for the Help star! Like, none at all!!
So, on Wednesday, the actress took to X (Twitter) to complain about a JetBlue flight she’d recently been on with her husband. Per her series of (since-deleted!) tweets, the starlet moaned about how the in-flight entertainment system on her plane had malfunctioned. And even though she spent $1,500 per ticket for the trip, all she got in return was a $15 credit from the company as an apology. Womp, womp!

In the series of tweets that she ended up scrapping after catching HUGE backlash from other X users (more on that in a minute), Chastain wrote out (below):
“Thank you @JetBlue for your $15.00 credit. My flight was $1,500 and the credit is 1/100 of the money I paid you. Strange that I paid that for your flight entertainment system that didn’t work for the duration of my 6hr flight, but I guess it was worth it for this $15 credit.”
Oh no! Having an in-flight entertainment system fail to work on a six-hour flight (!) sucks. And paying $1,500 per ticket ain’t it, either! But still, a $15 credit — while not a lot at all — ought to mean a whole lot less to someone who has secured the bag like Chastain than, ya know, us regular folk. Just saying!!!
She didn’t see it that way, tho. The actress took things to the DMs next, and later posted a screenshot of part of that conversation to her X account, too. You can see the full exchange (below):
“I understand but I spent $1500 on the flight and so did my husband. There should be some flight credit or something since I have a TrueBlue account and have been a loyal customer.”
That sux!
But unfortunately for the 47-year-old star, she wasn’t finding too many sympathetic followers on the social media app! While a few people rushed to her defense and pointed out just how bad JetBlue’s in-flight entertainment situation is (and how awful the airlines are in general), most people who weighed in absolutely SLAMMED the star!
