Obviously, it is a VERY Jessica Chastain weekend, you guys!
The actress is already receiving accolades-upon-accolades for her work in the critically-lauded Zero Dark Thirty, which topped the box office during its first weekend of wide release, but merely seven days later, it is her just-released NEW movie, the spooky-looking Mama, that has audiences across America paying big bucks!
That’s right, both FLICKS beat out Mark Wahlberg‘s new effort, Broken City, and Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s comeback attempt The Last Stand for the first two spots on the list, and pulled in $28.1 million and $17.6 million, respectively!
However, gurlfriend better watch out, because Jennifer Lawrence‘s Silver Linings Playbook, for which she’s also been nominated for an Academy Award, has made the dramatic jump to the number three spot with $11.4 million!
Finger’s crossed that momentum will continue all the way through until next weekend!
