Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are transitioning into co-parenting life pretty easily so far.
As we covered, the singer confirmed her split from her husband of 10 years on Monday in a statement to People, calling it a “painful situation.” Opening up about their new dynamic, a source told the outlet on Tuesday that they have been “separated for a while” and are getting used to a new routine with their children, Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 12, Ace Knute, 11, and Birdie Mae, 5. Thankfully, it’s going really well so far!

A source shared:
“They have already figured out a new schedule for the kids.”
Great!
The insider added that they are “both great parents,” sharing:
“The kids will always come first. They are co-parenting. Jess is doing okay. She’s grateful for her kids.”
It’s a relief to know co-parenting is going well. Issues with that can make a breakup so much more difficult for everyone involved. Considering a Page Six insider said earlier on Tuesday that they parted ways because they “had trust issues” and were “no longer on the same page,” this is even more impressive!
We hope things continue to stay this amicable moving forward. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Are you at all surprised by this? Let us know (below).
