James Kennedy and Ally Lewber seem to be taking two very different approaches as they head into this new year…
2024 ended on a rough note for the couple after the DJ was arrested for domestic violence. They’ve since taken some time apart as James works on himself and his sobriety, something he hinted at in his first social media post following the legal scandal.

On Monday, a source close to the pair told Us Weekly that the Vanderpump Rules star is continuing to prioritize his mental health in this tough time — and he’s doing that without Ally by his side. They explained:
“James and [girlfriend Ally Lewber] are still living apart but haven’t broken up. James has been super focused on self-improvement and his sobriety and doing well. He’s been attending a schedule of meetings and support and taking it very seriously.”
We’re very glad to hear he’s taking his sobriety seriously!
The source went on to explain what else he is focusing on, adding:
“He’s also been in the studio making music, working out and spending time with good friends and his dog. He’s optimistic about the new year and really emphasizing his health and wellness.”
Good!
But this comes after his astrologist girlfriend made some less-than-hopeful predictions about the new year, casting some light on what could be to come with their romance. Taking to her TikTok on Sunday, Ally explained that 2025 was going to bring “new beginnings” for everyone, sharing:
“This year is a transition. We are moving into new territory that we haven’t experienced ever, or in a really long time. We’re all experiencing and cocreating a new reality together. So it’s really up to us on how we want to show up this year.”
She also told everyone to “expect change,” which she added is “not easy, but always rewarding.” She continued:
“Remember that it is OK to feel, it’s great to feel. Again, we’re human. But it’s also nice to just remember that we are just in the process of change. There is still so, so, so much magic to look forward to this year.”
Well, damn. We know she wasn’t talking about her relationship, but this doesn’t seem like a good sign!
@allylewber There will be a lot of new beginnings this year. Keep an open mind and an open heart. ???? #astrology
The fact they haven’t called it quits yet suggests they have a chance of reconciling, but if “change” and “new beginnings” is so prevalent in her mind, maybe she won’t want to?? We’ll have to wait and see.
