Jessica Simpson Reveals She Shared 'A Nostalgic Kiss' With Justin Timberlake After Nick Lachey Divorce!

Sometimes, you’ve just gotta kiss a pop icon… you know, for nostalgic purposes!

Jessica Simpson went on Jimmy Kimmel‘s late night show on Wednesday and re-lived that moment in her life, which occurred in the late 2000s after her infamous divorce from boy band star Nick Lachey. And to hear Jessica tell it, this is TRULY hilarious!

So, flash waaaaaay back to the early 1990s and you’ll recall Justin Timberlake infamously got his start on The Mickey Mouse Club alongside other future stars like Ryan Gosling and Britney Spears. As it turns out, though, the 39-year-old Simpson also tried to get on the show, but failed to do so after a brutally-bad audition, and eventually learned how to act after being taught by Chuck Norris. (No, seriously. We’re not making that up.)

Anyways, Simpson reminisced about all this stuff in a hilarious new interview with Kimmel because, as she revealed to the audience during the chat, she actually had a (very) brief fling with JT after her divorce!!!

OK, so it was more like a single kiss, but still… as she told it to the late-night funnyman, the lip-locking itself brought back serious, serious nostalgia for both parties:

“After divorce and he was out of a relationship, he was, like, over at my house, we shared a nostalgic kiss, but I thought, ‘Oh, this is interesting.’ And he took his phone out and started typing. And I was like, ‘Okay, I hope that’s not, like, another girl. Like, did I, like, stick my tongue out too much or, you know?’ But apparently him and Ryan Gosling had a bet on who would kiss me first when they were 12-years-old, and so he texted Ryan and said he won the bet. And I was like, ‘Oh, okay. Um…So we don’t kiss again. That’s done.'”

OMG!!! Justin, you DAWG!!!

Seriously, though… that’s pretty funny.

Even funnier is the pop star’s big reveal that if she had her way, she actually would’ve picked the La La Land actor over the Social Network star. Oh, yeah!

Tell ’em, Jess:

“Ryan was the one that I was, like … when I was 12, I was, like, ‘This guy is so cool and he’s from Canada. I don’t know where that is on the map, but I really think that that’s amazing.’ And there was something so cute about him. But Justin won the bet.”
