Jesus Guerrero’s sister is opening up about the timeline leading up to his shocking death… And how Jennifer Lopez fits into it.
The beloved celebrity hairstylist’s sister Gris Guerrero is sharing details about his final days of life and the mystery surrounding his sudden death. On Tuesday, she told Us Weekly:
“[There are] unanswered questions and it may take some time to properly have something for him. We are getting some help, but it is a waiting game for everyone to do what they can to get answers.”
Gris noted the timeline leading up to the late 34-year-old’s death “isn’t an issue.” What is, though, is the way he died:
“We have been able to track every one of his steps, but we don’t know what got him sick or what was [the] sickness. It all happened suddenly and no one knows why.”
That’s so tough. It’s heartbreaking enough to lose a family member, but it’s a whole other thing to not have the luxury of solid answers.
Gris told the outlet her brother died at a hospital “and that’s part of why there are so many unanswered questions because nothing they had done was able to prevent this from happening.”
So bizarre… As we’ve been reporting, he was in the UAE working with J.Lo in the days leading up to his demise. But despite hearsay online, Gris says the Jenny from the Block singer did “everything” she could to get him to the doctor:
“Everyone on his team did everything they could to get him to the doctors because he was not well. They told him he was not going to work, he should see a doctor and rest. And he wanted to come home.”
She added:
“As soon as he showed up [in Dubai], he was told, ‘You don’t look well,’ to sit down and rest. If he didn’t get well, to go back to the hospital. [They told him], ‘We want you to take care of yourself.’”
That’s good to hear… Those rumors about J.Lo were really disheartening. We’re glad Gris was able to clear them up.
According to the mourning sister, Jesus did go see a doctor in Dubai but was more “focused on coming home” to the US. When he arrived, “his roommate forced him to go to doctors.” But the lengthy flight in between hospital visits is “part of why we are looking into his health more with what happened.”
She noted the Guerrero family has received paperwork relating to Jesus’ doctor visit in Dubai to hopefully help answer some questions.
Since his death, the Unstoppable actress has “talked us through everything that she could, along with others that were there,” according to Gris. Kylie Jenner, his close friend, has also been a major pillar of support for the grieving family:
“She has told us anything we need. Jesus was family to her, and she was family to him. She has kept an open line. Anything we need, any questions we have, she has been there for us. She wants his memory to be honored and wants to do as much as she can so he gets the farewell he deserves.”
In an update on Jesus’ GoFundMe, Gris wrote:
“We would love for everyone to remember the light and warmth he brought to every room along with his laugh and smile. He is a soul to be celebrated. His generosity, kindness and empathy was unmatched.”
