Jewel Says "Singing Scenes" Were The Hardest Part Of Playing Johnny Cash’s Wife!

We know Jewel as an Alaskan songbird with one helluva set of pipes!!
That’s why we were excited to hear that she had been cast as Johnny Cash’s other half, June Carter Cash, in the Lifetime biopic Ring Of Fire.
But when Jewel opened up about filling the shoes of June Carter, she actually claimed that the singing was the hardest part for her!!
Here’s Jewel’s explanation of why:

“I was surprised by how difficult the singing scenes were for me. Learning how to sing like her took some studying, but it was enjoyable. What I found difficult was being onstage, because I guess when I’m onstage my muscle memory takes over, and I would find my own mannerisms creeping through. You’d think that those scenes would be the most natural, but they were actually the hardest for me to stay in character.”

Makes perfect sense!
But hey, Reese Witherspoon won an Oscar playing the same role in Walk The Line, so maybe it’s a lucky role!
